I have been passionately working with horses for many years. I rode as a child and then also completed an HND in Equine Science.I then continued developing my equestrian skills, beginning with being a competition groom/rider whilst also undertaking my BHS exams up to Stage 4 Coach. I have worked within show jumping, showing and of course dressage. The various disciplines have given me a broad base of knowledge. I went on to focus on dressage and also breaking and training young horses. My first competitive year in BD took me to a top ten place at the National Championships.
Sarah Kingwells - How it developed
Totally hooked on dressage I continued to train young horses and also train some up through the levels. I have been fortunate along to way to have access to some amazing school masters to help develop my understanding. I have trained and competed many horses from backing up to small tour level. In addition to riding I have continued to develop my coaching and have gained my UKCC 3 to become an accredited BD coach and a Youth coach and Youth assessor. I have journeyed through the BD judges pathway initially gaining List 5 and then have continued through each level to now hold List 2a. I am currently part way through my upgrade to List 1.
Sarah Kingwells - Achievements
Along with gaining my qualifications I am very proud of my riding achievements. In particular, to win the International 5 year old class at Hickstead with Destiny D. I have also been placed in several of the young horse finals on various horses. Some of my horses have won at regional level and then, competed successfully at National Championship level from Novice to advanced medium and also at Pet Plan Championship and the Small Tour Championship at PSG and Inter 1. I also help many event riders with their dressage phase and have clients competing in showing qualifiers. I have many clients achieving success at all levels from Prelim to PSG, some winning National titles.
